I’m Gunnar Oberhosel.
The story of my work is much bigger than me. It’s a universal story of finding yourself through nature. It’s a story about turning to nature to find meaning. To make positive change. To find freedom. This could be part of your story too. I help people to reconnect with themselves through experiences in nature.

With backing from European funders, I am able to support the incredible work of various non-profit organisations ‘making waves’ in the areas of oceanic research, rehabilitation and education.
Becoming an environmentalist…
My own story starts with travel. I have seen firsthand our beautiful planet in crisis - from the destruction of the natural rainforest in Borneo to dire plastic pollution on the beaches in Cabo Verde. I knew that I needed to make a change in my own life, to try to bring about a change in the world.
